ABOUT
AKI's is situated on the Finger Wharf at Woolloomooloo and serves up traditional Indian food with a contemporary twist. The menu is influenced by dishes from southern India, coastal regions showcased through seafood dishes and rich flavours from the North. The food philosophy at AKI's, is aimed at combining the best of the local fresh produce while maintaining the integrity of the traditional recipies.
Chef Kumar Mahadevan opened AKI's in 2003 to bring modern Indian food to the Sydney dining scene. AKI's allowed him to showcase the nuances and regional highlights of Indian food. AKI's has been the recipient of industry accolades along with media appearances by Chef Kumar. His first restaurant is ABHI's Indian (est. 1990) located in North Strathfield.
